On behalf of the organising committee it is my pleasure to welcome you to the conference website for the 44th New Zealand Society for the Study of Diabetes Annual Scientific meeting and the Special Interest Group Study Day, to be held 11 - 14 May 2021 at the Marlborough Convention Centre, Blenheim, New Zealand.
The meeting promises to be an excellent event where diabetes health professionals, researchers and policymakers can enjoy a stimulating and varied programme, as well as collegial friendship. We have confirmed our keynote speakers Rayaz A. Malik, a Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar and New York, Martin de Bock, Paediatric Endocrinologist, University of Otago - Christchurch and Dr Josephine Herman a public health physician and general practitioner who currently holds the role of Secretary for Te Marae Ora Cook Islands Ministry of Health.
We are continuing with the new presenter award categories, with five prizes to be awarded. We encourage you to submit an abstract.
NZSSD gala dinners are always a highlight.
We look forward to seeing you in Blenheim in May 2021.
